I use alkaline batteries, but they cost a lot over time. I was wondering how do NiMh batteries do in a Ti-89 Calculator. Provided, that I will probably do Cpu intensive calculations, could an overall cell potential of 4.8 volts do the job of the 6.0 volts provided by the alkalines? Which ones should I use?

The problem is you've had without a condom. Everyone knows is supposed to feel better without a condom, but most try not to experience it due to the issue of pregnancies and STDs. You already answered your own question really when you mentioned it felt like a barrier between you and your girlfriend as that's the reason it's less pleasurable. If you'd been smart and hadn't went without a condom at least once you'd never know how good it felt without one. How can I protect myself in a dispute with my landlord where he only wants to give me 10 days to move out?

I recieved a letter from my landlord saying i have 10 days to vacate the premises (I believe this is because he wants to live in my apartment). When my roommate and I said we wanted 30 days as is mandated by law, he threatened to throw our stuff out on the lawn. He came into our apartment and took pictures while we weren't home, of a wall written on with marker and some holes in the same wall. My best friend was a marine. He went to Afghanistan and got really bad ptsd. He ended up committing suicide this past month. I finally got the courage to go visit his new grave at Arlington National Cemetery. (I'm not sure how he got buried so fast because the wait time is usually a while). Am I being unreasonable - or is my dad being selfish?

I've just started college, and I had to go to one far away from home (because the one in my area is really bad). There's only one college bus to and from college (one in the morning at 8:20 and one that takes me home at 4:35). This makes it impossible to get home if I only go in for 1 hour unless I walk. I walked home today and it took 1 hour 15 minutes. I've been told before it's not safe to walk home as the area is a bit dodgy, also it's just straight roads with no pedestrians for nearly an hour (though there is a path). My dad is unemployed so we're on benefits, but he has a car and drives it all the time, so it's not like he won't pick me up to save money or anything. How can I persuade him to give me a lift home (it's a 10 minute drive from home)? He always picks my brother up from school (he's 13) when it's only a 10 minute walk. Am I being unreasonable, and should I just walk it?

No elevated bun, high spec gravity, normal cal and phos levels.The cat drinks a lot, but he always has. He behaves normally. He uses a nonclay litter and ate a high quality dry diet until he was put on kd last month. I've read that creatine is a muscle byproduct, I'm wondering if his creatine spike could have anything to do with some sort of muscle trauma or inflamation that has not been obvious. He had two sets of shots the weeks before the first elevated blood test. 2 more blood tests have been done confirming the 2.5 level twice. Any ideas?

The elephant as a whole is a symbol for TRUTH. The different body parts and conclusions made by the blind men are interpretations of the truth. the problem is each blind man is unable to discover what the elephant truly looks like. For anyone PERSON to say that all religions are true but each one is not perfect is no different than one of the blind men. For anyone to ever make the claim that even a single religion is false or lacking something is to claim that they have the spiritual superiority to know what the truth is in order to make such a claim. You cannot say a religion is false unless you know what the truth is. So in a sense anyone who says that one or more religions are imperfect is making a claim that they have a better perception on what the truth is. that is an exclusive belief. that person is suggesting that they have superior knowledge than someone else who believes otherwise. An open minded person should be humble enough to admit they solely do not have a monopoly on truth so to discredit a religion and or exclusive belief system like Islam, Christianity, Judaism, etc... At least exclusive religious people know and admit they are exclusive in their beliefs.

I work at a restaurant. My friend got in trouble for going out to her car to smoke a cigarette, since we are no longer allowed to do it on the back dock. It's a fenced-in area behind the restaurant where the dumpsters, cleaning products, etc. are kept. One of our district managers saw her smoking and he wants her to be fired. Does anyone know if this is illegal? Another friend said that since she wasn't doing it in the restaurant, it's a violation of her civil liberties to keep her from smoking in her own car. We aren't allowed any kind of break, even if we work all day or night. If we had a break, we wouldn't have to sneak out to our cars in the first place! Plus, our in-house managers smoke on the back dock or in their cars, but still expect us not to! So, is this something she could fight? Could it be considered wrongful termination?

Could this be endometriosis?

For the past 4 or 5 years now (i'm 20) my menstrual cramps have become exceedingly worse, EVERY month. It's to the point now where I'll take 4 ibuprofen every 4 hours and still end up in my bed, crying. (and I don't cry over much). I also have diarrhea and constipation on my period, sometimes they alternate. I have what I like to call " cramps" which is like stabbing pain in my ... rectum, which occurs sometimes when i sit down and sometimes when i'm just standing around. It hurts a lot to poop while on my period. That pain almost brings me to my knees. It also hurts when i pee sometimes. My uterus also swells an incredible amount and feels like it could pop if anyone touches it. Recently, it's gotten so bad that it hurts to walk, breath sneeze or sleep. The pain radiates down my legs and makes me sick to my stomach. Sometimes I gag I'm in so much pain. I get my period every 25 days and it's lasts for at least 7, sometimes 8 or 9 days. When on my period, I have to skip school and work. I've been to 3 doctors (gynos) about this (and told them exactly this), the first two told me i just had some 'cramps' and put me on birth control, ponstel, and cataflam (prescription NSAIDs) at separate times, obviously, which did nothing for the pain. The most recent doctor I've been to, told me I was describing IBS to a T. It's getting to the point that I have cramps and pains throughout the month. I feel like no one is listening to me. I read about IBS and while I do have some of the symptoms, i have most, if not, ALL of the symptoms of endometriosis. I feel like something is awfully wrong and every freaking doctor I go to just smiles and tells me "sounds like you have some bad cramps" or "it's IBS!". Has anyone else had any experiences like this? Any advice? Please. I'm desperate. I will answer questions if you have them, I think I covered most everything though. This is by far the worst pain I have ever felt, and I feel like it's taking over my life.

Budeprion xl 300mg not working after weeks of taking it?

I started a new doctor about 2 months ago, for very bad stress, sleeping problems, and weight gain. He started me on ampitrpalyn (Sp?) And budeprion XL 150 which he said would also slow down my pk a day smoking. After the first 3 wks I went down to a pk every 2 days and it stopped me from eating all the time. The ampitripalyn for sleeping didn't work at all so he changed it from 10mg to 25mg. And upped the budeprion XL to 300mg to help me stop smoking completely and to help with stress since the 150 helped but not alot. The past 2 weeks I'm back to smoking a ton and am extremely stressed, I'm alot more snappy and get aggravated constantly. At first I thought the mood swings were because I also started taking birth control pills but it seems worse now that the budeorion is 300mg. I want to go back to the doctor but I'm afraid he's just going to keep upping it and I don't really want to be taking anything too strong long term. My last doctor had me on zanxax and I eventually quit taking it because I became forgetful and didn't want to become addicted. I guess my question is do I keep taking it and hope it'll work eventually or stop? Anyone else had problems like this ? Guess I should add I'm 23yrs old.

My throat is killing me, one tonsil is really swollen and there's like white things on both of them. It kind of looks like when you have a canker sore. When I take motrin I can eat better but if it starts to wear off I can barely drink water. My body is so sore too, mostly my lower half but it aches like crazy. Kind of like when I have the flu. If you severe the cord or severely damage a nerve root, sure, you could become a parapalegic and not "grow" in your lower half. Growth plates are found in every bone in your body, and getting hit hard in the bone won't necessarily hurt your growth plate, but may damage the bone. Seems like my baby is Sensitive to ALL formulas? Anyone have this issue?

First and foremost, I don't want to be criticized about not feeding, etc. I AM feeding my baby milk (pumping) right now and have been. He is about to turn 6 months. I am drying up because my schedule does not allow for me to pump as often as I should. Work ALL day then school ALL night M-F. I have an intense schedule and I'm lucky I've been able to offer my baby milk this long. Sometimes I am not able to keep up with my baby's demands and have to supplement with formula. Ever since he was born though, there has always been something weird about him being sensitive to everything. I even have to watch what I eat. I still don't know if he has a milk allergy. All I know is that he gets bad stomach pains and gas every now and then from something I probably ate or the formula if we ever give it to him. I have tried all the similac and enfamil brands and the HYPOALLERGENIC stuff. How in the world is my baby still sensitive to hypoallergenic formulas? Anyone have this issue where your baby is just sensitive to everything? Do you know what it could be? Could there be something else in the formulas that the baby is sensitive to?

Im a 31yr old woman. I've alot of problems and am seeing my shrink that i last saw 8 yrs ago. I've known her since i was 18 and she helped me through alot. I have very fond feelings for her. When i phoned she recognised me after 10 years. She said come and see her and gave me a generous reduction on her fees. She also hugged me on seeing me and when leaving i made the advance, to hug her.She reciprocated and it felt really lovely and natural. I used to look on her as a mom figure as my own mom is not emotionally able. But i know this can happen in therapy. Its called transference or something. I was living in New Orelans during Katrina. I lost everything, things that no money will every be able to replace: memories.I was in Dallas Tx When KAtrina hit New Orleans. I think the worst thing about Katrina were the people that were left here in New Orleans for days with no food or water. It was so HOTT after that hurricane hit, people were dying from heat, not having medicine and not to mention NO fOOD or WATER. All the animals like birds left before it hit. Domestic animals like cats and dogs were wherever their owners left them, that also added to the stinch that was reaking all over the city. Bush could have supplied more food AND WATER and basically HELP to the people who suffered. I hope i helped a little. I can;t say much more it's too sad.

Will slapping a chrome decal on a mesh grille work?

I've been browsing for grilles to put on my 2006 ford F150. I have XD rockstar rims on it, with twin rockstar decals in the back window, so the over all theme on the truck are the rockstar symbols. Well, I came across this perfect grille- the Rolling Big Power chrome mesh grille. It's gorgeous, with the star in the center. Really really nice. Only problem is that it costs $700!! I'd really feel nauseous about shelling out that much for a grille, especially since the only real reason I want it is because of the star emblem. Well I had already found this other chrome mesh grille that looks fantastic and only costs around $100. I actually like the style of the mesh better than the RPB. So, could I just stick a chrome rockstar emblem/decal on the center? I found some like $20 buck nice looking stars so I figured I could just buy the cheaper grille and apply them, since thats really just what I want is the style of the stars.

I'm a little confused - I have a job and am a high performer - my boss - is aloof and avoids me and practically ignores me 90% of the time. From there you can check the "Show right Action Bar". You can also add a few other bars around the screen if you want. Why don't all nations pull together to colonize Mars?

Because we aren't equipped enough for a mission that big, imagine how many ships, people, and equipment they would have to take with them. First we don't have the money for that so America is out right there, and more countries would join that list of people who don't have the money to do it. Finally there is NO coming back. You would have to make a new ship every time to get there, again MORE MONEY. So in a way as of now it IS a lost cause, but maybe a few decades from now we could send ONE team their willing to never come back because they won't it would be the mission that could start the colonization of mars meaning from the information the first team finds we use that to study it for years, and years THEN we could colonize mars, and by that time maybe we would have figured how to get there, and come back without the fuel we use today.

I ride my mountain bike 1500 miles a year with sneakers.?

I ride very hard, ave 19 on trails for an hour, but fundamentally I have many flaws. Most noticeable is that I don't use clipless or anything other than my sneaker on the pedal. I'm used to positioning my foot so that my toes and top portion of my foot are touching the pedal, completely different then how they clip in with my clipless. While I know this might not be the ideal way to ride, it's been working for me for over 10,000 miles and it feels very weird, especially on my leg muscles, so I don't know if I should/need to switch to clipless instead.....? I want to push myself to do my best, but not sure if I can do better by learning how to ride with cleats.....Thanks a lot for the greatly appreciated incite :)

Borderline Personality Disorder. Am I really a more qualified diagnoser? Other sufferers have newbie tips?

I never believed in mental health until tonight. I have been pretty outspoken about it too...Way to sell drugs, label problem kids, label natural human emotions as disorders, not a real science, etc. For 11 years now though, every aspect of my life...work, relationships, self-esteem has just been "whack" Lol. I was diagnosed with depression but never took my medicine for it because I just didn't agree with the psychiatrist nor the symptoms. I was then diagnosed with bipolar disorder and everyone I did confide this in agreed whole heartedly that they suspected that as well. I didn't ever start my bipolar meds even though my parents told me they'd help me get better. I just couldn't take the drugs when I would go over and over the symptoms and realized that even though I suffered from them, it was a real stretch in my head to identify with the symptoms (instead of YES it was more like, yea I guess I feel like that) and silently have rejected (for 8 yrs) that I'm bipolar or that any of this mumbo jumbo exists and haven't sought help since other than a counselor to talk to and codependents anonymous after a traumatic experience while looking for someone who could really understand my mind's workings. The counselor (though an AMAZING and loving person and counselor) didn't fix the underlying problem...I know she wasn't a psychiatrist and not able to make judgement as one...kind of like an alcoholic quitting alcohol but never addressing WHY they drink. So I've still been searching for the reason I find myself in the situations I do everyday. Finally tonight I randomly saw something that said borderline personality disorder BPD on the net and clicked it and went through about 15 sites with symptoms and stories. I don't understand the physiological reasons for BDP but I am very emotional now because for the first time in all these years every symptom I read is a YES, I FEEL THAT WAY EVERY SECOND OF MY LIFE...THAT IS EXACTLY HOW I TREAT PEOPLE...THAT IS JUST HOW I COPE...My first question is how often are people (non-hypochondriacs lol) right about their own mental health diagnosis? Is it enough to say that for the first time in my life I identify with these words and not a few 20 minute meetings as a teenager with a pricey psychiatrist I can trust that this is probably my diagnosis? Also, I know that the literature says treatment can be lengthy...well, I can't afford this so how often are people able to read, self help, counseling, open up to others, etc after just one meeting with a psych to get neuroleptic drugs? Does anyone have BPD and take something that works well for them? I am so relieved I heard about this never-mentioned disorder and so comforted that I read my daily sufferings written down by another human being so I won't even go through the details or stories since I'm sure if you have BPD, you know exactly what you do to keep this cycle going of painful situations and you know we could write a book.

How should I invite the family to Disney World?

I'm planning to ask my whole extended family to join my husband and me when we go to Walt Disney World in Sept. 2012. Why waste money on a college education to get socialism indoctrination when you can go to library for free?

Unlike some posters I know firsthand the evils of socialism because I bothered to learn about it. After I finished high school while many of my friends went on to college and some joined the Army, I got a job, and moved out of my parents' house. On weekends I would drive a few miles down the road to my local library and check out a lot of books, particularly ones that opened my eyes to the evils of socialism. It was in that library that I discovered what an atrocity this system is and why we need to oppose it in any form. I recommend reading anything by William F. Buckley, Jr., Russell Kirk, Pat Buchanan, Ann Coutler, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham and several others. You don't need to plunk down 50 K per year to learn that socialism is evil, just go down to your public library and find out for free.

Should I be concerned about my dog having parvo?

I have a 6 m. old doxin, Ollie. 5 days ago I noticed a very sm. amount of blood in his stool bc he had an accident in the apt. I wanted him to poop more so I gave him soft food, and I saw no blood after that. He was very lively all night. He slept with me that night and at 6 am woke me up barfing in bed. I counted 28 throw ups for 1 hour. After the first 3 barfs being food from night before, It was just bubbly mucous. I got on the phone w. a vet. I followed her inst. to check his temp and feed him electrolytes. He really enjoyed the car ride to CVS, and after some rest, he drank the E.lytes.. He was eating later that day too. Since then, he has been his normal snappy self, and I have looked for blood everytime he goes out, there has been none. Until tonight. He jumped in the tub with me, I threw him out, he ran in the living rm and crapped all over the place! Again, I notice blood. He has no temp, and is eating fine. I would take him to the vet asap but there is no $ until taxes come!

Remove odor from tile and grout? HELP!?

My kitty doesn't like to use her box (which I've talked about on another board), and she's peed many times on my tile floor. I think that China has many superior athletes in this sport, however I just saw Jonathan Horton's routine on the high bar and it was unbelievable! I am now watching the individual all-around and I am surprised at his score! Triple twisting double layout on his landing which only a handful of gymnasts can do in the world, but he gets a score of 15.35? The American gymnasts seem to do much more difficult routines, but with less rewarding scores. Any comments?

Alternately, you can also compost in trenches with worms without having to turn it (as the worms aerate it themselves). You can do this through the winter as well, though you'll need a larger trench, and you'll need to add plenty of manure to keep the trench warm enough for the worms (manure gets warm as it breaks down).
