For those who were in hurricane katrina if you could spare a few minutes please?

I was living in New Orelans during Katrina. I lost everything, things that no money will every be able to replace: memories.I was in Dallas Tx When KAtrina hit New Orleans. My mother,cousin and boyfriend evacuated that SAt. I didn't think i was going to die but after hearing the news reports that if the Hurricane hit life will be lost. I was extremly afraid, thinking of friends that might not have had a chance to get out. My house had 10ft of water in it for 3days. Can you image, right now look around you all the things in the room around you, things that you treasure, the pics on the wall, the old photographs of you when you were a child now image one day you come home to all of the under water or better yet how i came home to my house with mold from the ceiling to the floor . good thing i took my dog causeshe would have been floatin,. I think the worst thing about Katrina were the people that were left here in New Orleans for days with no food or water. It was so HOTT after that hurricane hit, people were dying from heat, not having medicine and not to mention NO fOOD or WATER. All the animals like birds left before it hit. Domestic animals like cats and dogs were wherever their owners left them, that also added to the stinch that was reaking all over the city. Bush could have supplied more food AND WATER and basically HELP to the people who suffered. I hope i helped a little. I can;t say much more it's too sad.
